If there is one thing to be sure about, it’s that the future is uncertain. Just think about all of those futuristic books we read about as kids. Usually, they were set in the new millenium, around the time we live in now. They were talking about hovering cars and trips to the Sun, life with a million gadgets and intergalactic friendships, but the reality is much less glamorous. It seems that our imagination will have to work a tad bit longer, because we’re so far off track as a civilisation, it might take us another millenium to get there. But we’re working on it.
In the first two years of the child’s life, the child copies the behavior of adults in a very not-conscious manner, and to the extent that its self-confidence allows. Observations show that babies are more likely to imitate those behaviors that they see more often, that they are more readily exposed to than behaviours, not typical for the environment that surrounds them.
Kids brains are like sponges – they are able to pick up everything they elders do and say. They say the easiest way of teaching a kid to do the right thing is to show it how it’s done, rather than telling the kid to so it, then do the exact opposite when the kid isn’t looking.
Same goes for curse words – everyone knows you should definitely be mindful about what you are saying in front of your kids, because their tiny minds absorb like sponges and you never know when that little verbal indiscretion might come spilling out of innocent little mouths!
Now get this, this lovely little toddler has her mind set up on eating something and she goes straight into the kitchen and starts looking for it. Aside of the fact that she gets close to the tall shelf’s which is dangerous for her, she actually even tries to climb up the shelf. Luckily her mom is there to stop her and tell her to “get out of the kitchen”.
However this little girl is not going down without a “fight”. She argues with her mom as she believes that whatever is happening it is in no way fair. Now we can’t really judge a toddler but we sure can laugh at the way she tries to argue with her mom. This is just too hilarious.
